Great house very clean. The fact that there is a really good pub restaurant on site is fantastic. Great staff great food at reasonable prices. Just a really good place to stay
The only gripe is that the cooking equipment is not great. I don't think taht a nonstick frying pan would break the bank but for my next trip I will bring our own pan. Cooker is electric which I am not crazy about, also bit dangerous with kids.
It was totally amazing everything you could want was there no probes at all loved it
Space, peace and Quiet.Yet only 5 min.from town.Ideal for us as we had one elderly person in our group who is not too good with stairs having 2 bedrooms at ground level was a major plus.Walk in shower also was great for elderly group member.
Kids 'playground' was unsafe and most if not all equipment in need of major repair/refurbishment.Didn't have great Tv.reception not a major problem as we didn't switch on too much anyway.
I was found of the whole place in general and the countryside specifically
We had plenty of space for all of us (3 adults and 2 children) and a safe place for the children to run. It was a great central location to do day trips. We loved the ability to have a fire and play games with the kids at night with much more space than a hotel room.
The cottages were definitely cottages--not deluxe, but a good price and a good location to travel to Killarney, Ring of Kerry, and Blarney Stone. As a tip for others: you only have one bath towel per bathroom (3 towels). The cottages were to accomodate 8 people & expected at least 8 towels, you have to pay more to get more. The beds were small & uncomfortable. The playground for the children was in fair condition. But nice lawns & space to run.
The location was good 5min drive to centre of Killarney. The grounds around the cottagea and setting was beautiful
There was a very musty smell in the cottage when we arrive.A Spray of air freshener after cleaning or before arrival would be a good idea.the cottagea are a bit grubby the living room couch was dirty.I Wiuld say these cottages were 4 star whwen they were first built but they have not been well maintained and now I would say 3 star at most.
Excellent and spacious cottages. Very relaxing!
Great quiet location, beautiful thatched cottage. Fantastic region for walking, either in Killarney National Park or in the mountains.
The only things we didn't like were very minor, like only 3 bath towels supplied when the booking was for 4 people, and only 2 dishwasher tablets supplied when we were staying for 4 nights. Both these issues were resolved promptly and efficiently, but it would be better simply to supply them in the first place.
These thatched cottages are beautiful. Facilities are second to none and the location is really handy for all areas in south west Ireland. Beds comfortable and open fire great.
I loved the look and comfort of this little village of cottages. Close to Kilarney but we had peace and quiet. There was a pub onsite for wonderful conversation or a quick meal if you chose not to cook. Plenty of room with 3 bathrooms and everything we needed in the kitchen.
I am older and not as active so I was quite chilly in the evenings.
The cottage is spacious, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Just a few miniutes drive from city centre, the location is quite and comfortable.
The water heater works too slow, it's not enough for 5 persons to take shower, even spread in four hours. Wi-fi service is charged separately but the signal is too weak for smooth connection.
Everything was just perfect and having the bar & restaurant onsite too was very handy. Great taxi service into the town just 5 mins away with traffic.
Place was clean but could do with a lick of paint and a bit of a revamp.
It was an ideal location for families. very safe surroundings, playground, wildlife,. we saw lots of rabbits and deer. The pub/restaurant served very good food, reasonably priced. The nights were a bit chilly so the open fire was very welcoming. The kids enjoyed collecting firewood.
I didn't like the fact that the adjoining property was so close with no boundary outside seperating picnic table area. It was fine for us as the adjoining property was vacant during our stay.
Self catering facility, ability to accommodate a large party and a pet with close proximity to all amenities.
No mention on booking confirmation that a charge of eight euro per day applied to use of Electricity.
Its location was really good and it was a great base to tour killarney and surrounding area's. I loved that it had an open fire and it was quiet spacious. It had lovely green area's for kids to play. It was a really good base for families.
Although it had lovely green area's all around the complex there was dog dirt in a lot of the grass area so not great when the kids want to play. They didnt have a washing line which i thought silly, and although we had a dryer it didn't make sense as our weather was beautiful. It would also be a huge improvement if they put showers in with some power, it was like standing under a dripping tap.
